Expansion & Modern Infrastructure

Despite challenges during 1989-2000, demand for admission continued to grow. This led to significant expansion efforts, supported by international philanthropists and governments.

Financial assistance from the Government of Kuwait enabled the construction of a beautiful four-story complex inaugurated in 2019, featuring modern lecture halls, a library, and IT facilities.

Key Acknowledgments
  • Al-Zamil Group (Dammam): Supported the Hifl & Shari’a division complexes.
  • Al-Haj A. Mohamed Moulavi: Donated land for the Hifl building.
  • Kuwait Government: Funded the modern 2019 academic complex.

For over seventy years, the East Ceylon Arabic College has stood as a beacon of Islamic scholarship, shaping generations of religious leaders and community builders.

With Allah’s blessings, the College continues to serve with distinction, carrying forward its noble mission for the Muslim community of Sri Lanka and beyond.
